Senate House: University of Lagos – Nigeria

The client intended for this building to be a prestigious landmark for the campus; it is to this day, the emphasis of the design was also to produce a comfortable and workable space. This resulted in good shading and unobstructed ventilation through the building, avoiding reliance on air-conditioning. Alternate windows open to provide lighting and natural ventilation so that the building is usable when electrical power fails.
