James Cubitt’s involvement in Libya dates back to 1976 and includes engineering work across the urbanization, mega size cities master plan. We have currently an established partnership with a local firm that has an extensive network and links to authorities and other state and private institutions in Libya. Their local knowledge and experience complements James Cubitt’s vast global expertise, providing a multi-skilled and talented pool of professionals.

Libya lies between Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad and Niger to the south, and Algeria and Tunisia to the west. it is an independent republic in North Africa where its economy primarily dependent on the oil sector revenue, including crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas.

Libya is the fourth largest country in Africa with an area of almost 1,800,000km2 and has a relatively low population of 5.8 million people.

Services which we have provided to date in Libya include master planning, scoping studies on infrastructure projects, building planning and design, project management, detailed construction supervision and progress monitoring, technical assistance and support to government departments and utilities.

Our projects in Libya include the Design & Construction Supervision of the University of Benghazi as well as Al Fateh University in Tripoli, the detailed master plan of Musrata City; and construction management Azzawya Oli Fertilizers in Ras Lanuf.
